The inspiration for this body of work came from my love of the beach and the many layers created throughout this landscape.
The fragility of shells on the sand and water create the most interesting contrast of shapes and textures; almost natural sculptures. Hence my focus was to give equal importance to form, texture and function.
I create each piece with individuality, either on the potter’s wheel or by hand forming. I then formulate glazes that will complement and complete the story
All my pieces are functional, dishwasher and oven safe and intended to be enjoyed everyday.
